CCM

The Canada Cycle & Motor Co. Ltd. (CCM) was formed at the end of the 19th century and became the dominant cycle manufacturer in Canada.

Some Light Diversion:

CCM clearly liked to catch them young with exercise books and post cards, some of which contained a cautionary tale, such as the one below about keeping tyres pumped up.  CCM would appear to have had the year sewn up with bicycles for spring summer and fall and hockey equipment for fall, winter and spring.  In spite of which the company failed and the bicycle and hockey businesses split, with Procycle taking over bicycle manufacture.

CCM sponsored famous Canadian rider William “Torchy” Peden in the late 1920s and early 1930s and the bicycle he used was very clearly related to the one on this site:
