Eddy Merckx branded bicycles have been variously manufactured by Kessels, Falcon, Colnago and De Rosa then, ultimately by Eddy Merckx himself. Both Kessels and Falcon produced a range of bicycles from what is popularly referred to as “gas pipe” through to high specification racing lightweight bicycles.
Colnago Merckx’ that I have seen appear to be based on the Colnago Super. I do not know whether De Rosa built production bikes for Eddy Merckx, but is supposed to have built racing bikes for him and to have helped him set up his factory (information needed here – please let me know if you have any references)
